Patna, April 13: The Bihar government has decided to set up Bihar Science Centre here on the lines of the Science City in Kolkata and two planetaria at Gaya and Darbhanga, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said today.
The state government would also set up science centres at Nalanda and Bhagalpur in 2011-12 to promote scientific education among the youths, Kumar said.
The government would release Rs 50 crore for each of the two new planetaria which would be set up on five acre of land, Kumar said at a meeting of the state-level e-governance management council here.
Besides, the planetarium here would be modernised as a centre of tourism, he said adding places like Taregana and Kagaul would be developed as an astro-tourism hub.
