School children In Khargone Teach Locals To Use Mobile Apps For Payments

Khargone: Taking inspiration from the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s appeal for making “Cashless India” in his Mann Ki Baat programme, school children in the town have started encouraging locals to use mobile transaction app for utility and other necessary payments.

The children are not only making people aware of mobile transaction apps, but also teaching them how to use it for paying power, telephone and municipal taxes among other things.

“We took inspiration from the Prime Minister’s Mann Ki Baat programme to make a Cashless India and started knocking doors of the citizens to encourage them to use mobile apps for making payments of the utilities like electricity, telephone and municipalities,” KK Convent School’s Hussain Malkapur and Paridhi Rathore told PTI.

The school has also set up a helpline desk to raise awareness among the parents to go for cashless transactions, the school founder, Lavesh Rathore said.

The parents were also encouraged to make payments through cheques, he said.

Motipura area’s Nilesh Gupta who was approached by children on the issue welcomed their initiative and added that it will help in rooting out black money from the system.
