Hyderabad, NOvember 16: A nine-year boy was allegedly kidnapped by unidentified persons at Chandrayangutta, when he was on his way home from school. Though the boy went missing last Friday, the family members received a ransom call today demanding `15 lakh for his safe release.
The boy, Narasimha, is a class IV student of Goutam school at Meerpet and a resident of Mumtaz Bagh. According to police, Narasimha used to get down from his school bus at Venkatagiri everyday and call his parents from a telephone booth. They would then pick him up. On Friday, Narasimha failed to make the usual call. The family members launched a search for him and later registered a missing case with the police.
Today, Venkateshwarlu received a ransom call. The abductors even threatened to do harm to the boy if they approached the police. Special teams were formed to trace the call and nab the abductors.
