The two major schemes related to minorities seem in jeopardy. Due to inattentiveness of the government regarding scholarship and fee reimbursement scheme and bank-linked subsidy scheme their implementation during the current year seems impossible in Telangana state. Higher officials themselves admit that it is impossible to implement these schemes during the current year.
Now that only 3 months have left for the financial year to end, implementation of both the major schemes has not begun. The government that claimed to be keen for educational and economic growth of minorities failed to set conditions and rules for scholarship and fee-reimbursement schemes. Although the government has allocated Rs. 500 for the schemes but its disbursement seems impossible.
Telangana government by cancelling fee reimbursement scheme had announced the new FAST scheme but conditions to avail the schemes have not been set so far, as a result process of accepting applications could not begin yet.
