Hyderabad, Augsut 09: The 15th Syed Khaleelullah Hussaini Memorial Scholarship awards were presented on Sunday to students of weaker sections, studying in Standard VIII to X at Taher hall in Moghalpura of the Old city.
Speaking on the occasion, MA Rahim Quraishi, president of the All-India Majlis Tameer-e-Millat (AIMTM) said they would encourage students of weaker sections by providing financial assistance.
Hundreds of Muslim students are not able to continue in schools due to the financial burden. “The AIMTM would help talented students with financial assistance,” he added. Later, he distributed scholarships worth Rs 9 lakh to 180 students from 120 schools in the twin cities.
He said the SK Hussaini scholarships are presented to Muslim students for their outstanding performance. Secretary Mohammed Mateenuddin Quadri, vice-president Sikinder and Dr. Mohammed Mustafa were present.
