Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali said that government is implementing scholarship and fee-reimbursement scheme. While answering to a question raised during question hour in the assembly, deputy chief minister said that there were arrears in connection with the post matric scholarship for the year 2012-13 and 2013-14 which was previous government’s responsibility. He told that the total arrears for the two years were Rs/- 170, 91,15000 of which Rs/- 14,41,53,7000 were of fee reimbursement while Rs/- 26,75,00,000 were of fee reimbursement scheme. Government has released Rs/- 75 cr for both the schemes. He told that the previous government had sanctioned 544 cr for scholarship during 5 years period while the TRS government has allocated Rs. 400 cr for one year.
