SCCL chief exhorts employees to work hard

Singareni Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar has given a call to his employees to continue the trend of 15 percent growth rate achieved during 2015-16 financial year, even in the future as a company with international standards by standing on top of all government sector companies across the nation.

 

Addressing employees and officials in the Singareni Success Meet held at Singareni Bhavan here on Friday, Sridhar said the company, which has the growth rate of three percent per year for the last five years, recorded 15 percent growth rate this year. The Company produced 603 lakh tons of coal as against last year’s production of 525 tons with 15 percent growth. On the other hand, the Coal India, which is big one in Asia, growth rate is 8.5 percent only. The Singareni also registered an all time record by transporting 585lakh tons coal with 11.5 percent growth rate in transport and stood in second place when compared with Coal India. The company also achieved 24 percent growth rate in Railway Rake transport, he elaborated.

He exuded confidence that the company will develop as an international company in the coming five years time with Rs.30,000 crore turnover with 27 new coal mines. He said that the Singareni Company increased production of coal to the state’s power sector needs under the direction of the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He said that it was happy to say that the Singareni played key role in the construction of Bangaru Telangana. “It is a rare record in the history of 127-year old Singareni. I asked officials to organize the success meet to greet the workers. The success is best example to the united efforts of workers”, he said.

Sridhar extended greetings to the employees of Singareni Bhavan by giving sweet boxes to them. Coal Executive Director (Coal Movement) N Srinivas, General Manager (Coordination) J Nagaiah and others participated in the program. (NSS)
