SC reserves order on 2G Case : Swamy

Janata Party President Subramaniam Swamy today said the Supreme Court has reserved the order on the petition filed by him making Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram as a ‘co-accused’ with former Union Telecommunication Minister A Raja in the 2G spectrum case. Addressing the press here, he said he initially filed a petition in the trial court in New Delhi seeking to pass directions that Mr Chidambaram be made a co-accused with A Raja as they jointly had signed and informed the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh about auctioning the 2G spectrum licences to the private operators. However, the Judge of the Trial Court who addmitted the petition asked to prove him whether Mr Chidambaram had done it with criminal intention. He said “corruption is a part of criminal law and it has a separate law.. It is a offence under Section 13 under prevention of Corruption Act.” After the case was lost in the trial court and High Court, he approached the Supreme Court on the issue and the Judges had heard the agruments and reserved the order.
