New Delhi, February 10:The Supreme Court today declined to entertain the plea of Dubai-based Emmar properties against the proceedings initiated by the Andhra Pradesh High court into alleged irregularities in development of a controversial integrated township project on in Gachibowli near Hyderabad.
A bench comprising justice Dalveer Bhandari and Deepak Verma refused to entertain the petition filed by Emmar Properties.
However, the apex court directed the High Court to decide the maintainability of the plea, which was based on a letter written by state Minister for Handlooms and Textiles, Dr P Shanker Rao which was converted into a petition
In the letter, Rao had alleged that Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, MP and son of late Y S Rajashekara Reddy had caused loss to the exchequer by misusing power and position of his father as Chief Minister by favouring Emmar through state-controlled Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC).
