The Andhra Pradesh Assembly was adjourned for the day after the opposition TDP stalled the proceedings of the House on the issuance of notices today to six Cabinet Ministers and eight IAS officers by the Supreme Court in the disproportionate assets case against YSR Congress Party President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
There was pandemonium, during the course of the debate on the power situation when the TDP members rushed to the podium and raised slogans for sacking the Cabinet Ministers who were issued notices by the Court. After Deputy Speaker Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka adjourned the House for 10 mts at 1205 hrs, the same situation arose again after it re-assembled at 1310 hrs. Admidst noisy scenes, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy said ‘we are not aware of what the Supreme Court had said.
“After knowing the issue, the government would react and take clarifications from the Supreme Court.’ Mr Reddy said there is no comment on any Minister by the court and the government will decide on what to do after getting full information of the court proceedings.
