New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted benefits of additional marking in admission in various Post Graduate (PG) courses to doctors serving in rural areas of Uttar Pradesh.
The apex court held its interim order which says that Provincial Medical Health Services (PMHS) doctors serving in rural areas for one year will get 10 percent extra marks as an incentive, while a doctor with three years of rural service will get 30 percent extra marks.
The court had on May 12 directed the Uttar Pradesh government to provide additional marks, maximum up to 30 percent to PHMS candidates depending on the period of service in the rural areas. (ANI)
