New Delhi, Aug. 7: The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed the Cricket Association of Bihar’s (CAB) petition, which demanded disclosure of 13 names in the IPL spot fixing case submitted in a sealed envelope.
The application was filed by the CAB before a three-judge bench of the apex court headed by Justice T S Thakur yesterday.
The plea had claimed that the time and the effort of the Justice Mudgal Committee and the probe team would be wasted if the entire contents of the third report are not given to the Justice Lodha Committee.
The apex court has also extended the tenure of Justice Lodha committee till December 31, 2015.
A Supreme Court bench had appointed the three-member Lodha Committee, which included the retired Supreme Court Judges Ashok Bhan and R.V. Raveendran, being the other members – while delivering the landmark judgment in the betting-fixing scandal on January 22. (ANI)
