SC direction on EAMCET counselling not against TS Govt: Vinod

Karimnagar MP B Vinod on Monday said that the Supreme Court’s direction seeking completion of EAMCET Counselling by August 31 were neither against Telangana nor in favour of Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking to media persons at Secretariat Media Point here, Vinod said that the Telangana Government would react after the receipt of copy of Supreme Court’s directions. He said that the TRS Government would ensure that the interest of Telangana students are protected through the proposed “Financial Assistance for Students of Telangana” (FAST) initiative as it has discontinued the fee reimbursement schemes.

Vinod also admitted that there was shortage of power in Telangana and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was taking all steps to ensure proper supply of power to farmers in view of Khariff season. (INN)
