Islamabad, April 12 (ANI): The Supreme Court of Pakistan has expressed its concern over the way development-related funds are being utilised in Balochistan in the last four to five years.
Citing that previous government in the province had committed grave irregularities, a three-member bench of the apex court, which was headed by Chief Justice Iftikar Muhammad Chaudhry, has now decided to examine the usefulness of such schemes under which funds are released.
The apex court, however, has allowed the present provincial government to re-appropriate budgetary allocations since all development works worth Rs.24 billion had been suspended due to a stay granted earlier by the court.
The next hearing of the case will take place on April 25. (ANI)
