Hyderabad: The Supreme Court today asked former CEO of TV-9 news channel Ravi Prakash to approach Telangana High Court to obtain anticipatory bail. It also asked Telangana High court to hear the case on merit basis.
Senior Supreme Court Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi argued the case on behalf of Ravi Prakash. The country’s apex court also asked the Hyderabad High Court to take up hearing of the case before June 10, 2019 and deliver order on the issue. It also asked Ravi Prakash to appear before Hyderabad police for interrogation.
The SC directed the police to issue notices 48 hours before it wants to arrest the former top executive of the TV-9 channel. An advocate Ranjith Khmer argued the case on behalf of the Telangana government in the Supreme Court.
