Supreme Court has made it clear that it will fix a particular date in case the Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker failed to take a decision before November 8. The Apex Court also made it clear that it will impose anti-defection law and disqualify the defected MLAs.
Reacting to a petition filed by Congress MLA and Party Whip S A Sampath Kumar, the Apex Court directed the Telangana Assembly Speaker to take a decision on the defected MLAs before November 8.
It may be recalled that 24 MLAs from various political parties joined ruling TRS party in Telangana state along with three MPs. The ball is now in the court of Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary and one has to see till November 8 that what decision would be taken.
The Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker’s decision will remain in the history whatever it may be because the Supreme Court was directly dealing with the case. Its impact will fall even in Andhra Pradesh politics as several YSRCP MLAs have joined ruling TDP. Even, Andhra Pradesh Statedidn’t take any decision on the petitions received by the Speaker Dr Kodela Shivaprasada Rao. (NSS)
