Mumbai: The country’s largest lender, State Bank of India (SBI) in a tweet made it clear that if any customer fails to submit Aadhaar number by 31st December, his/her account shall cease to be operational till the time it is submitted.
Bank also mentioned the channels through which one can link Aadhar number to his/her bank account. They are Internet banking, State Bank Anywhere (Mobile App), ATMs and bank branches.

Steps to link Aadhaar number to the bank account through internet banking:
- Visit SBI official website (click here)
- Enter Username and Password of your internet banking
- Click on “e-Services” and then on “Link your Aadhaar Number” link.
- Enter Profile Password
- Finally, enter Aadhaar number.
You can also link using Mobile App, at ATMs and by visiting a bank branch.
