On Savarkar birth anniversary, Hindu Mahasabha distributes knives to schoolkids

AGRA: To commemorate the birth anniversary of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha distributed knives to students from class X and XII on Tuesday.

According to the news published in Times Of India, Mahasabha spokesperson Ashok Pandey, speaking at the event said that Savarkar’s dream was “Rajniti ka hindukaran and Hinduo ka Sainikikaran (Hinduisation of politics and militarisation of Hindus). Modiji has fulfilled the first part of his dream with his landslide victory in Lok Sabha polls. We are now fulfilling the other part by distributing knives and creating Hindu soldiers.”

“If Hindus want to protect themselves and their nation, they should learn how to use weapons,” he added.

Pooja Shakun Pandey, Mahasabha’s national secretary said that this act was a step towards motivating Hindus and empowering them.

“I just want them to feel strong and independent to protect to their daughter, sisters and family members,” she said.

Earlier in the day, in a tweet, Modi, said, “We bow to Veer Savarkar on his Jayanti. Veer Savarkar epitomises courage, patriotism and unflinching commitment to a strong India and he inspired many people to devote themselves towards nation building”.

Earlier, Pooja Shakun Pandey and her husband Ashok Pandey have been taken into custody for enacting the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi on his 71st death anniversary.
