Saudi women threatened to breastfeed their drivers

Riyadh, July 07: The anti-Islamic elements seems to have busy in tarnishing the image of Islam. In responce to the Saudi Cleric Fatwa against driving by women. A group of indecent Saudi women have threatened to breastfeed their drivers if they are not granted the right to drive their own cars.

They related driving fatwa to Saudi cleric’s fatwa calling upon women to give breast milk to ‘unrelated’ men so that they could establish a ‘maternal’ bond with them and thereby avoid ‘ illicit’ mixing between the sexes.

The fatwa is based on the view that breastfeeding establishes a maternal bond even if a woman gives milk to a child who is not her own. It has ignited a series of debates in the Saudi society over the nature of the regulation, with many calling it bizarre.

The cleric behind the infamous breastfeeding fatwa, Sheikh Abdel Mohsen Obeikan, a member of the Saudi Council of Senior Scholars and adviser to the king of Saudi Arabia, had argued that if women give breast milk to male colleagues (Not directly) or men they come into regular contact with, they would be able to mingle with all family members without having to worry about violating the stipulations of the Islamic traditions.

In ultra- conservative Saudi Arabia, women, irrespective of their nationality, are forbidden from driving. According to a BBC report, the ban was originally unofficial, but it became the law after an incident in 1990, when 47 women challenged the authorities by taking out their families for a drive. “ After strong criticism from the Saudi religious authorities, the women were jailed for one day, their passports confiscated and many lost their jobs,” the BBC report said.

“Is this all that is left for us to do — to give our breasts to the foreign drivers?” a Saudi woman was quoted as saying by Gulf News. Obeikan was, however, quick to clarify his position. “ The man should take the milk, but not directly from the breast of the woman,” the cleric explained to Gulf News . “ He should drink it and then becomes a relative of the family, a fact that allows him to come in contact with the women without breaking Islam’s rules about mixing.” In the Islamic tradition, women are encouraged to breastfeed their children until the age of two. “ It is not uncommon for sisters, for example, to breastfeed their nephews so they and their daughters will not have to cover their faces in front of them later in life.

Anti-Islamic forces have been busy presenting the worst image of Islam to people right from the advent of Islam. They have been tarnishing the image of Islam, presenting its basic teachings in a deformed condition. The strong propaganda of anti Islamic lobbies and our WEAKEST knowledge about our religion has made us believe that we cannot do anything about it.
