Saudi wins top award in Australia

Canberra,July 7 – Muhammad Bin Salim Al-Qahtani, a Saudi student studying for a masters in architectural design at the School of Environmental Designs of New South Wales University (NSWU) in Sydney, has won the annual “The Lisa Ettridge Prize”.
The prize is given by the university for projects that serve impoverished societies.
Hassan Talat Nadhir, the ambassador of the Kingdom in Australia and New Zealand, congratulated Al-Qahtani saying “the prize is another accomplishment to be added to the record of Saudi students whose education is funded by King Abdullah’s Scholarship Program”.
Al-Qahtani won the award for his design ‘Developing Batah area in Colombo, Sri Lanka’ where the project is being implemented.
