Makkah, December 24: A Saudi woman thought of a novel way to achieve her target of turning her daughter’s wedding into a “talk of the town” event by distributing the banned Captagon stimulant pills to the guests.
The 53-year-old woman from the western town of Makkah made the confession when members of the Commission fro the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice caught her in an “obscene position” with her driver and seized Captagon pills and a small amount of drugs in her car.
She told police later that she had bought Captagon and distributed 26 tablets to female guests at her daughter’s wedding so they will perform better and make the wedding a ‘talk of the town’ event,” the Saudi Arabic language daily ‘Sabq’ said.
