Islamabad: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir is expected to arrive in Pakistan on a day-long official visit on Thursday.
Al-Jubeir is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad and will hold discussions with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi on bilateral issues and regional situation. He will also meet Prime Minister Imran Khan during the visit, Geo News reported.
The Saudi foreign minister was scheduled to arrive in Pakistan last week, carrying a “special message” from Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, Qureshi had said. However, the visit was delayed due to unknown reasons.
Notably, the Saudi Crown Prince, widely known as MBS, had visited both India and Pakistan last month.
In his bilateral talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Saudi Crown Prince had described terrorism as a ‘common concern’.
Saudi Arabia signed eight agreements amounting up to USD 20 billion to invest in cash-starved Pakistan during the Crown Prince’s maiden visit to Pakistan.
