Saudi dream proved costly for woman, sold in Qatar

A woman was enticed by the promise of a job in Saudi Arabia, allegedly `sold’ to a person in Qatar.
The victim who returned to Hyderabad was sent for medical examination on Thursday.

According to Pahadishareef police, a 24-year-old woman came in contact with a broker Farida of Shaheennagar. Farida had promised the victim a domestic help job in Saudi Arabia.

A fake passport was in May created in the name of the victim by Farida. Visa was, however, taken under the `visiting visa’ category instead of `working visa’ and the woman sent to Qatar instead of Saudi Arabia.

The victim’s family has an idea that she might have been sexually assaulted.

Until now, police registered a case only under sections related to cheating and criminal breach of trust of IPC. The culprit broker Farida was taken into custody
