Saudi Consulate to come up in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali said that he will visit Saudi Arabia to talk about setting up of Saudi Consulate in Hyderabad. He said that Saudi Consulate will ease the difficulties of people of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, besides Telangana. They will not have to go to Mumbai or Delhi for resolving Hajj or Umrah visa issues.

Mahmood Ali informed that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has made representation with the centre for formation of consulate. Foreign ministry has accepted the proposal however approval of Saudi authorities is required for which, Mr. Mahmood Ali will visit Saudi Arabia and talk to the authorities.

Deputy CM told that he has talked to foreign minister Sushma Swaraj regarding the problems of Indian workers in Jeddah and other cities. Of the 9000 Indian expatriates affected in Saudi Arabia 30 pc belong to Telangana.
