Saudi Arabia miffed with Pak’s decision to stay away from alliance against Houthis

Saudi ambassador to Pakistan Ambassador Jassim Bin Mohammad Al-Khalidi has said that Saudi Arabia is miffed with Pakistan’s decision to stay away from the alliance against Houthi rebels in Yemen.

According to the Express Tribune, Al-Khalidi, pointing to Pkaistani parliament’s resolution, asked “how would Pakistanis feel if we do the same with you in the time of crises.”

Al-Khalidi said that Saudi Arabia is still hoping Pakistan would join the alliance, even if only for reconstruction and humanitarian work.

It is the first time a Saudi official has publicly voiced his displeasure over Pakistan’s reluctance to commit troops, and military equipment for the Yemen operation. (ANI)
