Jeddah: A Hyderabadi youth by name Abdullah Abdul Mateen Usmani won the first prize at the annual Quran recitation contest. The contest was organized by Jamia Tahfiz-ul-Quran, Makkah region.
According to the report published in Saudi Gazette, out of one thousand Huffaz participated in the contest, 13 secured marks between 95 and 99.
In the event, Chief Guest was Prince Mishaal Bin Majed, Governor of Jeddah. Many senior officials, philanthropists and parents were present on this occasion.
After the contest, Prince Mishaal distributed the prizes among the winners. Hafiz Abdullah Abdul Mateen, the first prize winner got a car.
It may be mentioned that Hafiz Abdullah Abdul Mateen Usmani hails from Hyderabad.
Expressing his delight, the father of the first prize winner thanked Allah (SWT) and applauded the efforts of Jamia Tahfiz-ul-Quran.
Jamia Tahfiz-ul-Quran is an institution meant for the students for the memorization and recitation of the Holy Quran.
