Saudi Arabia launches $34.6 billion plan for its Vision 2030

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has launched $34.6 billion Quality of Life Program as part of the Vision 2030 plan by King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. It aims at promoting new options that enhance participation in cultural, entertainment, sports and other appropriate activities that contribute to the quality of life, job creation and improving the lifestyles of individuals and families.

According to the Al-Arabiyah the programme also aims at encouraging investment opportunities, and diversifying economic activities, while enhancing the status of Saudi cities in the ranking of the best cities in the world.

The goal of the government is to get at least three Saudi cities on the top 100 cities in the world to live in the list by 2030. The vision will be achieved by improving infrastructure, developing different lifestyles and expanding various sectors that affect people’s wellbeing.

The government will encourage private and foreign investors to invest in key markets that would improve the quality of life.
