Saudi Arabia also asked its citizens not to travel to Lebanon from any other international destinations.
Kuwait has also asked its nationals to leave Lebanon immediately, citing safety considerations as the reason for the advisory.
The development comes after Lebanon’s Prime Minister Saad Hariri unexpectedly resigned in a televised address from Riyadh, and said that he feared for his life.
Earlier this week, Saudi Arabia had also accused Lebanon of declaring war against it, citing the presence of Iranian-backed Hezbollah members in its government. (ANI)
