Riyadh: In Saudi Arabia, more than 3.24 million persons were arrested for various violations. As per the official report, since November 2017 when the campaign was launched, 3245652 violators were arrested.
According to the report published in Arab News, out of these persons, 2530232 were arrested for violating residency regulations whereas, 500454 for violating labour laws and 214966 for border violations.
Another 54496 persons were arrested while trying to enter the Kingdom by crossing the border whereas, 2391 held for attempting to cross into neighboring countries.
The officials also arrested 3879 persons for helping these violators. 1323 Saudi citizens were also arrested for harboring persons who are involved in violating local laws.
Some of these violators faced deportation whereas others forced to pay fines.
