Hyderabad: Former Union Minister and Congress senior leader Sarve Satyanarayana today filed his nomination for Warangal by-poll. Satyanarayna had to file his nomination followed by a tragic incident of alleged gas leakage in Warangal in which Siricilla Rajaiah’s daughter in law and her three sons died. Rajaiah, who earlier was the candidate for the by-poll, opted out of it as the incident occurred. Sarve filed his nomination in Warangal as Telangana Congress Party President and former minister N Utham Kumar Reddy and former Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah accompanied him. (NSS)
Sarve Satyanarayana was elected to Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly for 1985-89, elected to the Lok Sabha from Siddipet constituency in 2004 and from Malkajgiri constituency in 2009.
He is the national spokesman of the Congress party. He is a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha. He was appointed as MoS, Road Transport & Highways on 28 October 2012. (NSS)
