Bhiwani, April 22: Two unidentified youths shot at and injured sarpanch Chandu Lal of village Jhadli Brahmano wali on Bhiwani-Kanina road on Thursday night.
The sarpanch sustained injury near heart and has been admitted at a private hospital in Gurgaon.
The assailants had come on a motorcycle and ran away after committing the crime, police said.
Villagers and relatives of Chandu Lal today met Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who was in Bhiwani in connection with the inauguration of a school, and submitted a memorandum demanding arrest of the accused.
