The Saroornagar Police on Sunday registered another case against JNU Student leader Kanhaiyya Kumar, Umer Khaled and six others.
Kanhaiyya Kumar was arrested by the Delhi police on various charges including sedition. Cases were also registered against other student leaders in connection with protests held in Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi.
Based on a petition filed by advocate Janardhan, a local court in L.B. Nagar had directed the Saroornagar Police to register cases against JNU students. Acting on court’s direction, the Saroornagar Police registered a case under Sections 124, 124A, 156 and 3 CPRC.(INN)
