Saroornagar gets some lung space

Hyderabad, July 13: Home Minister P Sabita Indra Reddy on Sunday inaugurated a Colony Park at Saroornagar Residential Complex. The park is surrounded by quite a few thickly populated residential areas covering many apartment complexes and independent houses. About 35,000 citizens reside in this area and this park would provide them with the much-needed lung space.

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) officials told Expresso that the park has been developed in an area of 1.50 acres at a cost of around Rs 30 lakh. The park has unique features that include a well laid pathway of 400 running metre for the benefit of morning walkers. It has good landscaping with lawns, plants, children’s play area with equipment. A yoga zone and toilets are among the facilities provided in the park.

The residents complimented HMDA for developing this park and providing them with a green zone. LB Nagar MLA D Sudheer Reddy and HMDA officials were present on the occasion.
