Sarah Palin hints at standing for President in 2012

London, November 17: Former US vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s political career is far from over as she has hinted at running for the White House in 2012 even as her new autobiography becomes an instant bestseller.

The ex-Governor of Alaska who famously compared herself to a pitbull with lipstick, had created a stir when she was chosen as Republican candidate John McCain’s running mate in last year’s presidential campaign.

Palin, 45, has given a spree of television interviews to promote her book ‘Going Rouge’ and when asked by show host Oprah Winfrey about running for President, she replied “If people will have me, I will”, reported Daily Mail online.

Palin was also critical of President Obama saying that she would only give 4 out of 10 to the new administration.

“There are a lot of decisions being made that I and probably the majority of Americans are not impressed with right now,” she said.

The title of Palin’s book refers to a phrase John McCain’s campaign used to describe his running mate going off message.

In the book, she criticises the people who ran McCain’s campaign and says she wished she had been allowed to speak more freely.

“My ambition, if you will, my desire is to help our country in whatever role that may be, and I cannot predict what that will be, what doors will be open in the year 2012,” she said during the Barbara Walters show.
