Mumbai, June 17: Actor Sanjay Dutt is out with his helping hand yet again. And this time the lucky recipient is Soham Shah, whose film incidentally called Luck was stuck as it had no financiers to back it (the film stars Sanju along with Imran Khan and Shruti Haasan).
When Dutt came to know of Soham’s plight, he made a few calls and pronto, the cash was arranged.
Says Soham, “Sanjay Dutt is my guide and the pillar of my film. My film needed a big star cast and a big budget. I was looking for a big producer and Baba (Sanjay) came as an angel. He immediately fixed up meetings with big companies and also helped me tie up with Ashtavinayak, who is funding the movie. He has made my dream project turn into a reality.”
Soham’s last film Kaal, which was released in 2005, had tanked badly and that’s perhaps one of the reasons why financiers were not too eager to back the film.
Luck is said to be ‘inspired’ from a Hollywood movie called The Condemned which stars WWE wrestler Steve Austin, better known as Stone Cold. Dutt is apparently essaying Stone Cold’s character.
