New Delhi: A complaint has been filed with the National Commission of Women against Bollywood stars, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma for their upcoming biopic ‘Sanju’.
In his complaint, filed by activist Gaurav Gulati, he has raised objection against alleged derogatory remarks against sex workers in the movie.
The letter stated,” The Complaints wants to draw your kind notice towards the outrageous and cheap dialogues being used in the upcoming movie, namely, ‘Sanju’ by the Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.”
“All the dialogues used in the trailer are not only outrageous and anti-women but also shows low mindset of the movie makers towards the women fraternity, ” it added.
The dialogue, in the trailer, between Ranbir and Anushka is, “Prostitutes ko gino ya unko alag. Unko alag rakhta hu. 308 tak Yaad hai. Aap safety ke lie 350 likhh lo. (Should I count prostitutes or not? I should keep them aside. I remember that I have slept with around 308 women, take 350 for safe side).”
Written and directed by Hirani, ‘Sanju’ also stars Vicky Kaushal, Sonam Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal and Dia Mirza in key roles.
