Mumbai, October 24: Katrina Kaif did a seven-minute appearance in Blue at the behest of her favourite co-star, Akshay Kumar.
She even had a ‘soft’ understanding with the producers that they wouldn’t use her in the publicity campaign till the end. Salman Khan showed up for 11-minutes in Main Aurr Mrs Khanna to appease younger brother Sohail Khan. Now, reports say that Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt has a nine-minute appearance in Sujoy Ghosh’s Aladin. Sanjay plays a ringmaster (with a mean streak) said a source. Trade tattle has it that he agreed to do this miniscule part only because he likes Sujoy and has a fantastic rapport with the producers who are backing Sanjay Dutt Productions’ first film that is likely to go on the floors soon.
However, just like Salman warned his fans not to be disappointed with his cameo in Main Aurr Mrs Khanna, a member of Dutt’s inner circle said, “Baba’s fans shouldn’t go to the theatre thinking that Aladin is a three-hero film. Amitabh Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh are the lead actors. Baba just has a small part in this magic thriller.”
