Pune: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who was jailed in an arms case related to the 1993 Mumbai blasts, will be released from Pune’s Yerwada jail on February 27.
The actor will complete his jail-term on February 25 but the delay has been caused as he overextended his parole by two days.
The 56-year-old actor was found guilty in 2013 of acquiring illegal weapons from those involved in the deadly 1993 attacks in which 257 people were killed and over hundred others injured. He was sentenced to six years in jail in 2007.
The actor, who served 18 months, was later out on bail fighting the conviction until a court in March 2013 ordered that he should be sent back to jail. (ANI)
