Mumbai, June 07: Actor Sanjay Dutt is set to revive his production house that went low-key after two back-to-back box office duds — Woodstock Villa and Dus Kahaniyaan — and one average grosser — Shootout at Lokhandwala.
However, the big news is that Sanjay’s wife Maanyata is likely to be at the helm. Sanjay feels Maanyata will be the perfect person to steer his company to success.
He says, “I have some five movies in hand. Therefore, acting and handling the production house as well would be a difficult task for me. At the same time for my banner to do well someone has to take care of it all the time so that we can give great content to the audiences. I think Maanyata can handle all the pressure and stress with ease. I will definitely have professionals looking at various arms of the production house but there has to be someone who looks after it with all of his or her heart and Maanyata can be that person.”
Ask him what is giving him so much confidence about Maanyata and he says, “Maanyata does everything with a single-minded approach. Once she decides to do something, she puts her heart and soul into it. That’s what I love about her. When she takes on something, I am at peace because I know even I cannot take care of something as well as she would do.”
