Mumbai: Now that the Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt is jail-free, he has reportedly moved court to get his passport back.
The 56-year-old actor took a private jet from Pune to Mumbai after his release from Yerawada jail, where he served a five-year term for illegal possession of an AK-56 rifle before the 1993 blasts.
According to ANI sources, Subhash Jadhav, Dutt’s lawyer, made the plea before special judge G A Sanap, who presides over Tada Act cases, saying, since the actor had been released, the passport that he had surrendered to the court’s custody may also be returned.
Reportedly, Counsel for the CBI, Deepak Salvi, submitted the reply, saying the agency had no objection. The judge will pass orders today. (ANI)
