NEW DELHI: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt is extremely happy that his ‘close friend’ Salman Khan has got a clean chit in the Chinkara poaching case.
Sanjay, who is now a free man after completing his jail time of three years, recently addressed the media on the occasion of his 57th birthday at his residence.
On being asked if he had called Salman after he got acquitted by the Rajasthan High Court, Sanjay told media, “I called him to wish. I always feel happy for him. I don’t want Salman or anybody to go through what I did. I always wish well and I mean somewhere justice prevails. I am happy that it happened with Salman.”
Recently, Salman 50, has been acquitted by the Rajasthan High Court in two 1998 chinkara poaching cases. Khan and seven others were accused of killing a blackbuck and chinkara in two separate incidents.
The ‘Munna Bhai’ star also cleared the air on his rumoured cold war with the Dabangg Khan and said Salman is his younger brother and will always remain so.
On the work front, Sanjay and Salman had worked together in films like ‘Saajan’, ‘Chal Mere Bhai’, ‘Dus’ and ‘Ready’.
