Telangana JAC chairman Prof. M Kodandaram has alleged that “illegal” sand transportation was going on in Sircilla-Rajanna district unabated with the support of local leaders.
Speaking to the media here on Friday, Prof. Kodandaram said the second phase Amaraveerula Spoorthy Yatra will be taken from July 8. The Yatra was on Beedi, handloom weavers’ problems in Rajanna district. He suggested to the TRS leaders to examine the Dindi project and stop chiding him. He also slammed GHMC for contemplating to give garbage collection to a private firm.
Appealing to the students to stay away from drugs, Kodandaram asked the State government to take deterrent steps before Telangana turns into another Punjab. He made it clear that he will take up campaign against drugs use on behalf of the JAC. (NSS)
