Bhubaneswar, December 26: The US-based World Record Academy has recognised sand artist Sudershan Pattnaik’s work “most Santa Clauses on sand” at the Puri beach.
The Academy, a member of the Google News Network, came across Pattnaik’s creation of 105 santa clauses on sand at Puri beach on the Internet before recognising it.
“I have received an e-mail from Tom Howard of World Record Academy confirming our work at the beach”, Pattnaik said.
Pattnaik on December 24 created the Santa Clauses on the beach with a message about Global Warming.
He had used 1000 tones of sand to complete the Santas in three days. The artists also used colours to create the images. In this event about 20 students of his Golden Sand Art Institute assisted Pattnaik, he said.
