General Secretary Pradesh Congress Committee, Mr. Abid Rasool Khan has made representation with Congress president and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh besides chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and urged them to sanction separate sub pan for minorities also on par with SCs and STs.
He congratulated the leaders on preparation and sanction of sub plan for SC and ST classes and said that this was a long pending dream which eventuality came to reality. He told that it was clearly mentioned in Justice Ranganath Misra report and Rajendra Sachar Committee report that minorities are lagging far behind SC and ST classes in education and economy. In this circumstances it is necessary that govt. should announce a sub plan of atleast Rs 5000 crore for minorities.
