Samsung unveils Exynos 7 Octa 7870 SoC mobile processor

New Delhi : South Korean multinational conglomerate company Samsung on Wednesday unveiled its latest mobile processor – the Exynos 7 Octa 7870.

The Exynos 7 Octa 7870 is probably meant to be the successor to the Exynos 7580 which has been seen in the first Galaxy J7 phone from last year.

“With increased performance and power efficiency, we anticipate widespread adoption of our new Exynos 7 Octa 7870 into mid-tier mobile

devices.Consumers will experience enhanced performance as this is the first time a mobile application processor built on advanced 14nm process is available for these types of smart mobile devices,” said Ben K. Hur, vice president of System LSI marketing, Samsung Electronics.

Headquartered in Seoul, Samsung comprises numerous subsidiaries and affiliated businesses, most of them united under the Samsung brand, and is the largest South Korean business conglomerate. (ANI)
