Even as the process of State’s division is almost completed, the Samaikyanadhra Parirakshana Samithi (SPS) has decided to field it’s candidates for all the Lok Sabha and Assembly constituencies in Hyderabad, as part of its objective of protecting the Seemandhra people residing in the city.
Announcing this at a media meet at NSS here Wednesday, Samithi President G Kumar Chowdary Yadav said that political party leaders in Hyderabad, who have never opposed division of the State, were now going to the Seemandhra people in the city for votes, and hence the people should be careful about their designs.
He announced the Samithi’s candidates for two Lok Sabha and Nine Assembly seats. They are: Dr Mir Akbar Alikhan – Hyderabad Lok Sabha; Yarlagadda Gopalakrish a for Malkajgiri LS seat. For the Assembly seats—G Kumar Chowdhary Yadav – Serilingampally; K Srinivasu – Kukatpally; J Shivajikumar – Jubilee hills; Mrs Archana Reddy – Khairatabad; CH Rajendra Prasad Reddy – Musheerabad; K Kishtayya yadav – Sanatnagar; V Gouri shankar – Uppal; P Satyanarayana – Nampally, and G Krishna Rao – Malkajgiri.
He said that the Election Commission has allotted a common symbol of ‘kite’ for the L S and Assembly candidates of the Samithi, to contest the elections. (NSS)
