Sam Claflin all set to star in ‘Charlie’s Angels’ Reboot

Washington: Actor Sam Claflin is all set to star in Sony’s ‘Charlie’s Angels’ reboot.

The ‘Me Before You’ actor will be collaborating with his ‘Hunger Games’ co-star Elizabeth Banks, who is directing and starring as one of the Bosley characters. The other two Bosleys will be played by Patrick Stewart and Djimon Hounsou, reported Variety.

Meanwhile, Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska will portray the Angels in the film. Jonathan Tucker and Gerardo Mendez have also been roped in.

The latest draft of the script for the crime-thriller film is written by Jay Basu and Banks, based on the earlier versions by Craig Mazin and Semi Chellas. Banks and Max Handelman will be producing the film under their banner Brownstone Productions, along with Doug Belgrad and Elizabeth Cantillon.

The film will focus on the next generation of Angels working for the mysterious Charlie. The Townsend Agency has grown universally, providing safety and intelligence services to a wide variety of private clients.

Claflin was recently seen in Jennifer Kent’s ‘The Nightingale’, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and earned him some of the best reviews of his career. The ‘Adrift’ is repped by CAA, Independent Talent Group, and attorney Doug Stone.

Charlie’s Angels reboot will hit the big screens on September 27, 2019.
