Salman Khurshid criticizes govt. over lack of transparency in Gadkari issue

Congress leader Salman Khurshid criticised the government for lack of transparency over the news of bugging devices found inside Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari’s residence.

“What comes as a surprise is that a government that is committed to transparency, is so not transparent,” said Khurshid.

He added that as said earlier by former Prime Minster Manmohan Singh, the government must come up clean in the parliament over the issue.

Reportedly, listening devices were recovered on Sunday from Gadkari’s residence over which former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh raised concern and called for an investigation.

Earlier today, Gadkari had once again denied the reports after tweeting, “Reports in a section of the media about listening devices having been found at my New Delhi residence are highly speculative.” (ANI)
