The entire Bollywood fraternity strongly condemned the ban imposed on Kamal Haasan’s mega-budget movie Vishwaroopam. The latest is actor Salman Khan, who extended his support to the actor-filmmaker.
The Tamil Nadu government last week imposed ban on Vishwaroopam after Muslim groups objected to Kamal’s movie on the ground that it portrays the community in bad light.
On Wednesday, the Madras High Court deferred the release of the film again. The ban was lifted on Tuesday night following the order of Justice K Venkataraman but Madras HC today kept aside the orders of a single judge and delayed the film’s screening in Tamil Nadu.
The film industry strongly reacted after the Madras High Court’s verdict.
Salman took to Twitter and wrote,”Censor board has passed it too naaa(sic). Sure . 100 percent gonna see it(sic).”
“Dekho yaar its a movie n thr r only 2 kinds of movies good or bad. hit n flop N only people who decide r 1s who buy tickets(sic),” tweeted Salman.
He also posted an image that read, “Respect art, respect artist, respect the audience. I support Kamal Haasan.”
Kamal Haasan is likely to move the Supreme Court on Thursday.
