The city police on Friday registered a criminal case against Bollywood hero Salman Khan following court directive.
Speaking to the media here, city police commissioner Anurag Sharma said they have registered criminal case against Salman Khan and director Rajat Rawali as directed by the Sixth Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate for their objectionable comments in the Big Boss reality show injuring the feelings of the Muslim community. The police commissioner said they would pursue the case after consulting legal experts.
It may be mentioned here that a business man Mohammed Fasiuddin had filed a complaint with the Sixth Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate pleading that a criminal case be registered against Big Boss actor Salman Khan and director Rajat Rawali. The petitioner had stated that the Big Boss reality show contains objectionable dialogues, especially “Swarg and Narak” injuring feelings of Muslims for whom both the words are sacred in Islam.
After preliminary arguments, the learned magistrate ordered the Falaknuma police to register a case against the reality show. (NSS)
